Agreement

By using ieltswrites (ieltswrites.com) or creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

• ieltswrites lets you practise IELTS Writing on a screen modelled on the computer-delivered test, and buy credits for AI scoring of your essays.
• ieltswrites is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, IELTS, the British Council, IDP or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. IELTS is a registered trademark of its owners.
• AI scores and feedback are automated estimates for practice. They are not official IELTS results and do not guarantee any score in a real test.

Your account

• Use an email address you control and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Free sign-up credits are limited to one per person and require a verified email.
• Creating multiple accounts to collect free credits or invite rewards is not allowed; we may remove credits gained this way or close the accounts involved.

Credits and payments

• Prices are shown on the Pricing page. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on your location.
• Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the seller of record for purchases.
• Each AI scoring uses one credit. If a scoring fails, the credit is returned automatically.
• Credits do not expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.

Refunds

• Within 3 days of purchase you can get a full refund for a credit package whose credits have not been used. Email support@ieltswrites.com from your login email.
• Credits already used for scoring, and free credits, are not refundable.
• This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Your content

• You keep ownership of the essays and questions you write.
• You let us store and process them, including sending them to our AI provider, only to provide the service to you.
• If you create a share link, anyone with the link can view that essay and its report until you turn the link off.
• Only add custom questions or text you have the right to use.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for anything illegal, or to harass or harm others.
• Do not scrape the site, overload it, use automated scripts to score essays in bulk, or try to get around limits or security.
• Do not resell access to the service or its AI scoring.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ieltswrites available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. AI scoring may be paused temporarily, for example when daily capacity is reached. We may change or discontinue features; if we shut down the paid service, we will refund unused paid credits.

Ending your use

You can stop using ieltswrites and delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deleting your account removes any remaining credits, so request any refund you are eligible for first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we close your account without cause, we will refund your unused paid credits.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam outcomes, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date on this page shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you on the site or by email before it applies. Questions: support@ieltswrites.com.
