The task is to report the largest and smallest shares and, when there are two or more charts, how the proportions change or differ.
How to practise Use fractions and proportion language: a quarter, just over a third, the majority. With two pies, compare the same segment across charts rather than describing each chart separately. Do not add up percentages or speculate about causes. Mention every segment at least briefly, but give the most detail to the biggest changes. Each chart divides 100% of one nutrient between the four eating occasions, so the figures are shares of intake, not amounts. Cambridge IELTS 11 Test 1 Writing Task 1: Water Use Pie Charts Cambridge IELTS 11 · Test 1 · Task 1 · Pie chart The six pie charts show the percentage of water used for industrial, agricultural and domestic purposes in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia. All figures are percentages of each region's total water use, and no time period is given, so the comparison is between regions rather than over time.
